Westmoreland Country Club is seeking a motivated and dependable Cook to join our culinary team. This position supports daily dining operations, member events, and special functions by preparing high-quality food in accordance with club standards. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-focused, and passionate about food and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls
Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and station setup
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
Properly label, date, and store food products
Assist with banquet and special event service as needed
Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen team members
Support a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture
Qualifications & Skills
Previous cooking experience required (restaurant, club, or banquet environment preferred)
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Culinary school training is a plus but not required
Schedule
Full-time or part-time positions available
Flexible scheduling based on club operations
Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
