Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. The role includes outpatient clinic duties, surgical procedures, discharge planning, and compliance with VA policies and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
Board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Surgery
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Valid NPI, DEA, and OIG clearance
Proficiency in English and adherence to VA medical staff bylaws
Documentation of education, training, and experience
Responsibilities
Provide timely general surgery care and follow-up
Attend scheduled clinics and OR sessions
Communicate test results per VHA Directive 1088
Ensure compliance with medication and discharge protocols
Report and document patient safety incidents within 24 hours
