Opportunity
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced RF Technician to support and operate a Quantum RF laboratory. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day lab readiness, RF test execution, equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and disciplined lab operations in support of advanced research and development activities. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technical professional with strong RF experience, excellent documentation habits, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, highly technical environment.

What You'll Work On

Operate and maintain the Quantum RF lab in a safe, clean, and ready state.

Set up, calibrate, and use RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, and related instruments.

Execute RF measurements, test plans, acceptance tests, and troubleshooting workflows.

Support antenna, cabling, connector, and RF front‑end integration activities.

Maintain test logs, calibration records, configuration baselines, and lab documentation.

Diagnose failures in RF chains, fixtures, interconnects, and subsystems.

Collaborate with engineers to refine test procedures, improve repeatability, and document results.

Support hardware handling, bench builds, rework, and basic soldering or cable fabrication as needed.

Enforce lab procedures, access controls, and safe handling of sensitive equipment.

Coordinate equipment maintenance, vendor support, and spare parts inventory.

Assist with data collection and analysis to support development decisions and technical reviews.

You Have

5+ years of experience with RF testing, lab, or systems technical support

Experience with RF test equipment and bench troubleshooting

Experience building, routing, and validating RF cabling and interconnects

Knowledge of RF fundamentals, signal integrity, modulation concepts, and test methodology

Ability to read schematics, test plans, and engineering documentation

Ability to work onsite and independently in a lab environment

Ability to work well in a team environment

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have

10+ years of experience with RF testing, lab, or systems technical support

Experience supporting quantum, aerospace, defense, telecom, SATCOM, or advanced research labs

Experience with precision measurement, low‑noise systems, and sensitive RF environments

Experience in lab operations, inventory control, or equipment calibration

Experience with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or automated test scripting

Possession of excellent attention to detail and disciplined documentation habits

Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

TS/SCI clearance

Associate's degree

Compensation & Benefits

Projected salary range: $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD)
