
Production Supervisor- Cleansing Bar & Chocolate Operations

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and packaging operations across cleansing bar (Phact) and chocolate production lines, including raw material dispensing, mixing, forming, processing, and packaging. Ensures employee safety, product quality, and achievement of daily production targets across all process stages. Operates in compliance with established standard operating procedures, cGMP requirements, and food safety standards. Provides direct supervision, coaching, and technical guidance to operators while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating with leadership to optimize performance in a multi-line manufacturing environment.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in a supervisory role (food, chocolate, dietary supplements or personal care products preferred)
Experience supervising multi-stage manufacturing processes (dispensing, mixing, forming, packaging)
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting experience preferred
Working knowledge of cGMP, food safety, and/or cosmetic manufacturing standards preferred
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts as needed
SUPERVISOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Be on the production floor at least 75% of the time across both chocolate and cleansing bar lines
Be an active driver on issues impacting employee safety, product quality, line efficiency, and process improvement
Repairs
Initiating repairs as needed across processing and packaging equipment
Monitoring status of repairs
Validating and following through on completed repairs
Downtime
Monitoring downtime across all stages of production
Participating in efforts to resolve downtime issues
Quality checks
Production challenges across multiple lines
Gain and maintain technical knowledge of:
Quality processes, testing requirements, and standards
Preventative maintenance schedules and updates
Tool management and inventory
Material management, pick lists, scanning, inventory transactions, and lot reconciliation
Upstream and downstream processes affecting production schedules
Ensure and monitor that Operators are:
Following procedures and cGMP requirements
Performing quality checks and taking appropriate actions
Performing setup correctly and documenting activities
Meeting changeover targets and run rate targets
Completing required tasks and documentation in systems
Facilitate interactions between operators, maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams
Produce shift summaries including schedule adherence, equipment performance, quality deviations, and improvement opportunities
OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive quality and continuous improvement across cleansing bar and chocolate manufacturing operations
Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety, and regulatory requirements
Support production schedules to meet manufacturing and shipping deadlines
Collaborate with Planning, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality, and HR
Assist in developing and improving SOPs and operational processes
Lead and enforce safety, housekeeping, and cGMP standards
Train and develop employees to build multi‑skilled teams across both production lines
Reduce process variability and improve product consistency
Conduct regular team meetings and performance discussions
Complete employee evaluations, reports, and administrative responsibilities accurately and timely
Coach and manage employee performance and accountability
Maximize efficiency and utilization across all manufacturing processes
Support implementation of operational improvements and new technologies
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
Perform other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Majority of time spent in manufacturing areas with moderate to high noise levels
Exposure to food and personal care production environments (temperature variations possible)
Smoke‑free workplace
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Push/Pull up to 300 lbs.
