Position Summary
The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. This role involves pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery care. The RN collaborates with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced procedural setting.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct pre-procedure assessments and patient education.
Administer medications and moderate sedation per protocol.
Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, responding promptly to changes.
Provide recovery and discharge teaching to patients and families.
Collaborate with physicians and team members to optimize workflow and patient safety.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and hospital policies.

Qualifications
Required
Current RN license (DC or compact, must have by start date)
Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience
BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Preferred
Endoscopy or procedural RN experience
BSN or higher degree in nursing
Specialty certification (CGRN or equivalent)
