Assignment Overview
Role:
Network Specialist supporting architecture design, implementation, and configuration of network technologies.
Focus:
Routing, switching, deep packet inspection, NetScout device configuration, and SPAN port monitoring.
Work Location:
Data centers & agency sites across NYC (hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
Hours:
35/week, normal business hours; OT must be approved.
Duration:
4/6/2026 - 4/4/2027 (~1820 hours)
Key Responsibilities
Assign management and SPAN ports, configure port-mirroring for NetScout devices.
Add TAP links to production paths without impacting traffic.
Configure IP assignments and validate packet captures.
Set thresholds and alerts for monitoring.
Mandatory Skills / Experience
12+ years in networking, routing protocols.
Hands-on experience with
BGP, MPLS, OSPF
in large-scale environments.
Deep knowledge of network design, packet inspection, and monitoring tools.
