
Project Finance Analyst

Responsibilities
We are looking for a new Project Finance Analyst to join the Italian Project Finance team in Milan, focusing on the advisory and arrangement of non-recourse transactions in the Infrastructure and Energy sectors. You will support the team in the origination and execution of advisory and financing mandates, with the objective of rapidly increasing your level of autonomy. The deal flow will expose you to a wide variety of projects and offer strong growth opportunities in a highly dynamic and motivating environment.
Tasks and responsibilities
Support the team throughout all stages of the origination and marketing processes (preparation of marketing materials, credentials, pitches, indicative term sheets)
Build and analyse cash flow models and run sensitivities
Review due diligence materials (market, technical, insurance, legal, tax) and interact with advisors during Q&A sessions
Assist in the structuring of transactions by reviewing key features of the term sheet and financial documentation
Contribute to all aspects of the credit process, including preparation of credit applications, internal rating tools, and profitability assessments
Support portfolio management activities (waivers, amendments, annual reviews)
Provide general support as required within Project Finance, including assistance to administrative functions (liaising with DIR/COO teams, Middle Office)
Track and monitor the business unit’s performance
Manage new client onboarding and periodic KYC checks
Profile required
Studies & experience
Master of Science or Bac+5 in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics
At least 18-24 months of experience in project finance, investment banking, infrastructure, private equity funds, large corporates, auditing firms, or advisory boutiques, with proven financial modelling skills
Language skills
Fluency in English
Knowledge of Italian is considered a plus
Technical, operational & Soft skills
Excellent command of the Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory)
Strong financial modelling capabilities
