Position Overview
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Vermont is seeking a non‑tenure‑track Lecturer to begin in August 2026. The appointment is nine months per year with teaching responsibilities primarily during the academic year, and optional teaching of additional summer courses.

Responsibilities
• Teach a typical course load of four courses each semester, delivering content in a hybrid or online format as needed.

• Provide academic advising and service in alignment with departmental needs.

• No research‑related workload is associated with this position.

Qualifications
The applicant must satisfy the following qualifications:

Earned M.S. or Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field.

Strong teaching record, preferably in Statistics and Data Science courses.

Experience or willingness to use R, Python, active‑learning and project‑based methods.

Industry experience is highly desirable; candidates with significant teaching experience may be considered at the Senior Lecturer level.
