Job Title: Advanced Mechanical Engineer
Pay Rate: Up to $60.10/hr
Location: McLeansville, NC 27301
Job Type: 12+ month Contract; Start Date: Right Away; Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Role and Position Objectives
As a mechanical engineer for our customer, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the thermal and structural analysis of complex components used in undersea hardware. Collaboration with design engineering and manufacturing.
Preferred Skills and Experiences
ANSYS; thermal analysis; 3-D modeling capability.
What sets you apart
Strong analysis background including structural analysis and thermal analysis. Strong experience with ANSYS and MATLAB required.
Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings.
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards.
Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects.
Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals.
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
Requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
Workplace Options
This position is flexible onsite with some remote work.
While on-site, you will be a part of the GDMS Greensboro engineering staff.
