Aerospace Engineer Intern
As an aerospace engineer, you know leading‑edge hypersonics are critical to national defense. As an aerospace engineer on our hypersonics range modernization team, you'll evaluate new technologies, perform risk assessments, and improve the design of aerospace systems. Your experience in fundamental engineering processes is key and makes you an integral part of delivering a client‑focused solution.
In this role, you'll contribute to the direction of mission‑critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading‑edge aerospace technology. You'll learn from a large community of aerospace engineers across the company and collaborate with design and systems engineers to help deliver world‑class solutions to deliver test facility designs. Your engineering skills will help the Air Force expand and improve their capabilities to test hypersonic systems.

You Have
Experience with 3D CAD Software such as Autodesk Inventor
Knowledge of mechanical design such as structural or aerodynamics
Ability to learn quickly and apply new tools and techniques with senior mentorship
Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Summer 2028
Nice If You Have
Experience with SysML software such as Cameo or MagicDraw
Experience designing, building, and testing projects and applying engineering coursework to real‑world problems
Experience as an intern
Knowledge of trade study techniques or decision‑making tools such as Pugh Matrix

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
