The Role:
We are looking for our next

Maintenance Coordinator

within our Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning and safe execution of daily maintenance activities and annual TAR planning, supports both tactical and strategic reliability initiatives, conducts technical troubleshooting within area of expertise (Mechanical/Electrical) and provides field leadership for site craftsmen. The Maintenance Coordinator will partner with site leadership, engineers, operations & maintenance personnel, as well as contractors to achieve a high level of operational reliability for the site. This position will ensure all work is planned and performed in compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards to meet business requirements.

This position located in Plaquemine, Louisiana.

Compensation:
The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $96,000-130,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:

Understand the Maintenance strategy (goals), how it pertains to ensuring operations in the production process, and how equipment effectiveness and availability impacts the Production.

Works with Maintenance team to ensure maintenance process’s are properly executed within job scope.

Works with Maintenance Manager to control the maintenance budget by escalating high cost work/emergency items/etc. and tracking spend associated with planned jobs.

Verify equipment readiness, communicate work assignments, execute job scope, and ensure that all work is permitted appropriately and authorized accordingly.

Responsible for planning Turnaround work and prioritizing with Leadership/Operations/Maintenance

Responsible for planning Emergency Work (PM15) and coordinating that work with Production.

Reviews the weekly schedule, provides feedback, & participates in the weekly scheduling meetings.

Responsible for verifying Maintenance Technicians are on schedule for planned work and communicating schedule compliance.

Coach and Develop junior craftsmen in area of responsibility (mechanical or I&E technicians).

Coordinate and support staff by monitoring in-progress work, help with work effectiveness, and ensuring your team has the tools and discussions to do the work safely and efficiently.

Drive work execution and efficiency to eliminate rework on repairs.

Support equipment readiness before deployment of maintenance resources on day of scheduled work execution and ensure acceptable completion of maintenance/engineering activities.

Complete and maintain appropriate documentation for the work completed (TECO’s Work Orders)

Support the integration of the Reliability Maintenance Process.

Utilize SAP functionality including work order system

Verifies the RTO (return to operations) process is being executed correctly (completes final sign off)

Leads Maintenance weekly safety meetings

Provide technical troubleshooting in area of expertise (Mechanical/Electrical) as required to assist technicians.

What You’ll Need:
Education:

High School Diploma or GED

A minimum of 2-year Mechanical Technology certificate OR at least two years of progressive levels of responsibility in an industrial, maintenance, electrical or construction environment

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Maintenance industry

Minimum 2 years’ SAP experience

Minimum 2 years’ Planning experience

Knowledge of safe work practices, site safety and environmental requirements and policies, plant work requirements and procedures, plant equipment and repair procedures, and production strategies/goals and equipment requirements to meet yield, uptime, cost of manufacture, and working capital.

Experience with Preventative/Predictive maintenance

Knowledge of production process, how the equipment connects, and how equipment performance impacts the production process.

The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, one on one and in group settings

Effective organizational skills.

Driving change and proven influence skills. Deals effectively with new and different situations

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Strong presentation skills.

Previous experience with computers, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Project and/or systems management experience (Preferred)

Previous training experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibility:

Currently would have 4 direct reports with the expectation of increasing in the future

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments. Employee must be able to wear a escape respirator.

Position Type/4-day 10hr schedule:

This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
