IT/OT System Administrator - Linux
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and systems across IT and OT networks.
Perform system upgrades, apply security patches, and maintain firmware on physical and virtual servers.
Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system errors to ensure high availability.
Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and SCADA/ICS teams to ensure stable and secure IT/OT operations.
Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Manage user access controls and enforce cybersecurity policies.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and restore processes for all critical systems.
Provide remote and on-site support for plant and field locations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience with Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS) and Microsoft Windows Server systems.
Strong command-line skills and experience with shell scripting (e.g., Bash or PowerShell).
Proficiency in system monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning.
Experience in virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Understanding of IT/OT environments, including SCADA and industrial control systems.
Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP is a plus).
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
Experience working in regulated environments or the energy/industrial sector.
