JIRA Administrator (Infrastructure Focus)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented JIRA Administrator with a strong focus on infrastructure to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, patch management, and maintenance of JIRA environments across our infrastructure. You will work closely with both the development teams and system administrators to ensure the platform is performing optimally and is up-to-date with the latest patches and security updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in JIRA administration, focusing on the backend infrastructure, server management, and patching processes.
Hands-on experience with JIRA Cloud and/or JIRA Data Center installations and configurations.
Solid understanding of networking, servers, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and database systems (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with on-premise infrastructures.
Familiarity with JIRA-related technologies like Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian tools.
Knowledge of ITIL processes for change management and incident management in an enterprise environment.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.) to automate server and JIRA administrative tasks.
Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize JIRA instances.
Understanding of security best practices in the context of JIRA and IT infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-100 or equivalent).
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies for JIRA deployment.
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, New Relic).
Knowledge of load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
