Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate PowerBI Developer to join M&T Bank. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing remote work two days a week and in-person collaboration at our Buffalo, NY Tech Hub. The PowerBI Developer will design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable PowerBI solutions, working closely with business stakeholders to translate their needs into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive innovation to create modern PowerBI dashboards
• Connect to diverse data sources and extract relevant data for comprehensive analysis.
• Design and refine data models for impactful reporting.
• Create interactive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements.
• Lead the end-to-end process of PowerBI solution development.
• Create and optimize complex queries for efficient data retrieval and reporting.
• Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest PowerBI features and enhancements.
• Assist in migrating legacy BI systems to PowerBI.
• Maintain and update existing PowerBI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.
Education and Experience Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' professional experience in Data Analytics.
• Advanced knowledge and expertise in PowerBI and related technologies.
• Ability to translate complex business/functional requirements into structured high-quality PowerBI implementations.
• Demonstrated advanced technical and analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in PowerBI.
• Effective facilitation skills and techniques to elicit and review requirements from stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable and able to learn quickly in a rapid-paced environment.
