The Bottling Utility position is responsible for supporting daily bottling line operations by inspecting product, operating and cleaning equipment, completing required quality and production documentation, performing basic maintenance and changeovers, and packaging finished goods for transport. The Bottling Utility is responsible for proofing products before they are moved to the bottling line for bottling as well as any miscellaneous movement of materials associated with any part of the bottling process. This role ensures production activities are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety requirements while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
What You Will Be Doing:

Operations

Inspect bottles as they move through the production line to identify defects, labeling issues, or nonconforming product.
Verify that correct packaging components, labels, and materials are in use by checking required information on each package.
Measure and monitor bottle fill heights and make adjustments or notify supervisor when fill levels fall outside specifications.
Shut down bottling line equipment and perform cleaning of all assigned line components in accordance with sanitation procedures.
Complete all required quality and production documentation accurately and in real time.
Read, interpret, and follow the daily production schedule to ensure correct sequencing and output.
Review and execute tasks listed on production work tickets.
Operate a pallet jack safely in confined spaces while handling varying materials and loads.
Apply hand labels to bottles as required by production needs.
Package finished product for transport, including packing bottles into boxes, stacking boxes on pallets, and wrapping pallets.
Forklift certified and main employee responsible for moving any and all materials associated with bottling operations.
Responsible for proofing all products in a timely and accurate manner so as not to cause any delays for the bottling line.
Responsible for maintaining all ancillary equipment that supports the bottling operation (e.g. air compressor, pumps, RO system, scales, etc.).
Maintenance

Take the lead to perform routine maintenance and line changeovers using hand tools in accordance with established procedures.
Assist with basic troubleshooting of bottling line equipment and report mechanical issues to maintenance or supervisor.
Prepare equipment for production runs by adjusting, assembling, or disassembling components as required.
Act as first line of maintenance to perform any troubleshooting on malfunctioning components.
Compliance

Complete all required OSHA and company safety training within established timeframes.
Follow all safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazard prevention practices while performing job duties.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) during all production, cleaning, and maintenance activities.
Misc.

Maintain clean and tidy working areas at all times.
Responsible for maintaining any waste from bottling operations and dispose of in proper way (cardboard, trash, pallets, etc.).
Follow all necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety Requirements.
Who We Are Looking For:

A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Forklift certified.
Able to work independently.
Organization skills.
Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Able to multi-task.
Time management skills.
Able to work in a face paced environment.
Physical Requirements

Type of Equipment Operated: Pallet jack, forklift, DMA for proofing, computer with Microsoft Office suite, rolling barrels for filtering, loading bottles onto bottling line.
