Job Overview
As a Warehouse Colleague you will be a critical part of our Supply Chain team within the Four Pillars Strategy, focusing on Organizational Excellence, Building & Developing the Team, Financial Acumen, and Integrating with our Community. You will perform the essential processes for online orders for Macy’s and Bloomingdales customers.
Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are typically scheduled 12‑24 hours per week.
What You Will Do
Receiving and Unloading: Receive, prepare, put away, pick, sort, pack and ship merchandise safely, productively, and accurately.
Technology: Key accurately using PCs, hand‑held computers, radio‑frequency equipment or other devices; learn area‑specific functions within multiple warehouse systems.
Equipment: Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve goals, maintain a positive work environment, and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and People Leaders. Understand and follow employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
Who You Are
No prior education or experience required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors; read, understand, and interpret employment policies, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals in English.
Self‑starter who adapts quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
Proficient with computers and handheld technology.
Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform
Prolonged walking and standing up to the duration of the scheduled shift (excluding breaks).
Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment.
Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping; color vision.
Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Close, color, and depth vision; focus adjustment.
Ability to hear and see safety/emergency alarms and Industrial Truck warning devices.
Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility (excluding locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement)
Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi‑monthly basis. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection, within 24 hours of notification.
