
Architect

Duties
Develop test fits and feasibility studies for new buildings and additions, including creative solutions such as vertical additions requiring significant architectural and structural analysis.
Analyze land use regulations, NYC Construction Codes, NYC Zoning Resolution, and other applicable requirements for proposed sites.
Conduct site observations and prepare field reports.
Present studies to an interdisciplinary committee of internal stakeholders.
Provide technical assistance for Real Estate, Legal, and Capital Plan Management in negotiations with developers.
Engage with developers and other stakeholders in pre‑design meetings for mixed use projects.
Perform scope and design review of Capacity and CIP projects at all phase submissions.
Work with a wide range of technical, professional, managerial and support personnel as well as outside consultants, contractors, vendors and various government agencies.
Assist in preparing new design standards and procedures.
Handle multiple projects at the same time.
Serve as a member of project teams.
Maintain and develop general understanding of architectural and engineering principles.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD; and Adobe InDesign.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in drafting plans and sections in AutoCAD, interpreting NYC Zoning Resolution and NYC Construction Codes. Valid New York State registration as an Architect preferred.
Salary
$110K-$145K
