About the job
Our thirst for technology is a part of everything we do. The Data Center Engineering team takes the physical design of our data centers into the future. Our lab mirrors a research and development department – cutting‑edge strategies are born, tested, and tested again. Along with a team of great minds, you take on complex topics like how we use power or how to run state‑of‑the‑art, environmentally‑friendly facilities. You are a visionary who optimizes for efficiencies and never stops seeking improvements – even small changes that can make a huge impact. You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior‑level executives, and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.
With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements, and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).
In this role, you will lead the development and review of program civil drawings and data center civil plans, including typical utility plans and coordination with consultant teams. You will develop and implement a comprehensive program construction schedule for civil works, support improvements to civil and geotechnical design standards, and contribute to the development of program products. Additionally, you will possess general knowledge of, and experience working with, cross‑discipline teams including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, Telecoms, Networking, and Utilities.
US base salary range for this full‑time position: $122,000–$174,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Define and author owner technical specifications, focusing on performance, sustainability, innovation, and speed of execution.
Produce concept design sketches and drawings for site civil layouts and master plans, working closely with cross‑functional teams.
Review thoroughly and vet design packages (drawings, calculations, specifications, etc.) at each milestone, demonstrating full ownership of deliverables.
Work closely with the site execution team on implementing the design, providing solutions as they arise.
Work closely with the project controls team on validating cost and schedule estimates, providing innovative value‑engineered solutions where needed.
