10006 – Engineering Systems Administrator
Location: Irvine, CA (5 days on-site)

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will install, configure, and maintain the organization's computer systems and associated peripheral equipment. Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues. Perform application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications. Coordinate with department leadership to plan, design, and schedule the release of all software, hardware, and operating system updates. Develop and enhance processes and technical documentation, create backup procedures, test plans, and reports. Prioritize and respond to requests for service and may provide escalation support to helpdesk staff.

Automation of application administration activities such as writing scripts or using automated tools (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript, Group Policy, or third‑party solutions) to create user accounts, automatically provision new users with predefined settings, permissions, and profiles; modify user properties; delete user accounts.

Develop system methodologies to monitor and evaluate in‑place systems and applications and initiate repairs, updates, and other changes necessary to ensure maximum performance.

Independently modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance. Examples include Windows servers, third‑party systems, and storage systems.

Consult with engineering staff and users to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, develop and implement specifications and performance requirements, and resolve customer problems.

Support and administer various application software platforms.

Document IT activities such as downtime, problems, system configurations.

Coordinate, manage, and/or build new computer systems for special purposes.

Remain abreast of emerging technology and maintain technical competency of IT infrastructure.

Stay up to date on latest security trends, participate in regular security activities, and keep operating systems updated per HAEA security policies and procedures. Apply patches after testing and harden systems as routine.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 5‑7+ years experience in a position with similar responsibilities.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Collaborative, team player willing to assist users with their tasks when needed.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Professional Certifications (Optional)

MCSE or MCSA Certification.

Windows Server Active Directory Certification.

Benefits
Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
