Position Overview
MetroSys is seeking reliable and detail-oriented
IT Deployment Technicians
to support a
one-day onsite project
in Capitola, CA. This engagement involves the
removal of existing IT equipment and deployment of new workstation setups
in a professional office environment.
This role is ideal for technicians with hands‑on experience in hardware setup, cabling, and end‑user support who can work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Disconnect and
decommission existing IT equipment
(desktops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, etc.)
Properly
label, organize, and prepare equipment
for removal or relocation
Unbox, stage, and
deploy new workstation equipment
Set up and connect:
Monitors
Docking stations
Keyboards and mice
Network and power cabling
Ensure all equipment is
properly connected, powered, and operational
Perform basic
functionality checks
(power, display, connectivity)
Maintain a
clean and organized workspace
during and after deployment
Follow onsite instructions from project lead and adhere to client standards
Required Qualifications
Prior experience with
IT hardware deployments or desk‑side support
Familiarity with
basic networking and cabling (Ethernet, power, peripherals)
Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~40 lbs)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work efficiently within a
tight project timeline
Professional demeanor when working in a client environment
