Overview:
Title: Lead Data Engineer - Snowflake
Location: Miami FL
Role:
Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutions (using Snowflake, dbt, Python, and Matillion ( or similar ELT/ETL tools) ).
Architecting new patterns within Snowflake, defining standards and reference architecture within Snowflake
Cloud Migration: Transition legacy systems to cloud-based data solutions.
Data Governance & Quality: Ensure high standards in data governance, security, and validation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with senior management to align data engineering efforts with business needs.
Team Leadership: Lead or coach team members (particularly for Manager roles).
Skills & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 7+ years developing and implementing data warehouses or cloud data solutions.
2+ years managing a team in a data engineering capacity.
Must have 2+ years Snowflake architectural experience
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting languages (PowerShell).
Tools: Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Matillion, or similar ELT/ETL tools.
Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
