Overview
We are seeking a
Senior Platform Engineer
to support a large enterprise modernization initiative for a direct client. This role requires deep expertise in
platform engineering, cloud-native architecture, and modern web technologies , along with strong leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development and maintenance of enterprise-scale web and platform services using
TypeScript, Angular, NodeJS
Design and modernize core platform services using:
GraphQL (Apollo Client, Server, Router)
Event-driven architecture (Kafka on AWS)
BPMN workflows (Camunda v8)
Define platform standards, reusable templates, patterns, and best practices
Create high-level architecture diagrams and guide vendors toward optimal implementations
Improve code quality, scalability, security, and performance
Develop automated tests and deliver production-ready software every sprint
Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and Architecture teams
Support CI/CD deployments and production stability
Influence key technical decisions with principled leadership and accountability
Stay current with emerging technologies and cloud-native best practices
Required Skills & Experience
5-7+ years of software/platform engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with
AWS cloud services
Expertise in
microservices architecture
and cloud-native design
Strong
GraphQL & Apollo Router
experience
Experience with
Kafka, Kubernetes, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway
Advanced proficiency in at least one of:
Java, Scala, Python, C#, Snowflake
Experience with relational and analytical databases:
PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, Greenplum
Strong understanding of system design, data pipelines (DBT a plus), and APIs
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in fast-paced, Agile environments
Nice to Have
Lending, banking, or financial services platform experience
Strong data engineering or analytics exposure
Prior vendor or platform governance experience
