Job Summary:
The Senior Principal Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving the development and validation of rack and server infrastructure in cloud datacenters. This position requires a deep understanding of various hardware technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance with customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Leverage knowledge of Client x86, AMD, Nvidia, FPGA, and ARM-based technology roadmaps to influence future datacenter architectures.
Review customer requirements to develop L11 rack solutions, including test plan reviews, cable mappings, and rack configurations.
Conduct power analysis at subsystem, node, and rack levels, and contribute to BOM development.
Develop and validate cloud datacenter infrastructure, focusing on compute and storage platforms.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and customer engineering teams to address technical issues.
Facilitate log review meetings and perform test plan reviews with validation and development teams.
Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality.
Engage with suppliers and partners to integrate hardware building blocks into solutions.
Work with validation, systems, and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve testing issues.
Identify opportunities for test automation and collaborate with scripting teams to implement solutions.
Provide feedback to Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to assist in defining development and test schedules.
Document best practices and lessons learned to improve product quality and testing efficiency.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong understanding of compliance requirements in infrastructure management.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, and bash.
Experience with hardware debugging tools including oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
Deep knowledge of x86 Client server architecture, including BIOS, BMC, and hardware control.
Thorough understanding of communication buses such as PCIe, SAS/SATA, and I2C.
Proficiency with Linux server operating systems.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in hyperscale or cloud environments.
Cross-discipline understanding of thermal, mechanical, and power management in datacenters.
Experience in direct customer engagements and interfacing with executives.
Knowledge of Open Compute Project (OCP) hardware design elements.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (BSEE or BSCE).
