The Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget.

Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports.

Begins to influence department’s strategy.

Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.

Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance

5+ years of accounting/finance experience

Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accuracy in a work environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to present to leadership

Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and clearly present financial reports.

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration

Prior experience working on projects within a professional setting preferred

Proficiency in SQL (as defined by the ability to understand how the code is built; ad-hoc building/querying and data therein) and/or comparable programming languages

Essbase, Power BI, SmartView

Additional Information
Hybrid/ Home Workstyle (up to 10 days per month in office) preferably residing in the Louisville, Ky metro area. If not, must be able to work EST business hours.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary
Schedule: 40 hours per week (40 weekly hours)

Compensation: $78,400 - $107,800 per year. This range may vary based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
