Shipping & Receiving Specialist – Manufacturing | $22/hr

Overview
A Tulsa-based manufacturing company is hiring for Shipping and Receiving Specialists to support daily warehouse operations. These are two distinct paths within the same team—one focused on inbound materials (Receiving), and the other on outbound freight coordination (Shipping). The right fit depends on your experience:
Receiving roles are ideal for detail-oriented, system-driven candidates
Shipping roles require hands‑on experience coordinating LTL, FTL, or hotshot freight
Work Schedule & Pay
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
Hours:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay:
$22/hour
Type:
Contract-to-Hire (~90 days). This is meant to be a permanent position based on performance/attendance!
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Focus (Inbound)
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders
Enter receipts into ERP system with high accuracy
Inspect shipments for damage, discrepancies, and quantities
Maintain receiving logs, documentation, and labeling
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and data entry
Shipping Focus (Outbound)
Coordinate LTL, FTL, and hotshot shipments with carriers
Prepare BOLs, packing lists, labels, and shipping documentationVerify product counts and shipment accuracy before release
Schedule pickups, track shipments, and manage freight timelines
Maintain shipping logs and update ERP/shipping systems
Shared Responsibilities
Communicate with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams
Maintain organized, clean, and audit-ready work areas
Assist with inventory control and material movement tracking
Use Excel or similar tools for tracking and reporting
Required Qualifications
For Receiving Roles
Experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse support
Strong data entry and computer skills
ERP system experience (any platform)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excel
or
spreadsheets
experience (basic functions), or more extensive work done in ERP system that is transferrable for Excel. Basically, you need to be
computer/system savvy .
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed
Reliable, organized, and consistent work ethic
For Shipping Roles
Experience with
LTL, FTL, and/or hotshot shipments
Prior shipping experience in manufacturing or distribution
Ability to manage time-sensitive shipments with accuracy
Comfortable coordinating with carriers and tracking freight
Excel
or
spreadsheets
experience (basic functions), or more extensive work done in ERP system that is transferrable for Excel. Basically, you need to be
computer/system savvy .
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed
Reliable, organized, and consistent work ethic
Preferred Experience
Manufacturing or industrial environment
Familiarity with purchase orders, packing slips, or freight documents
Experience with

Forklift certification (a plus)
