to join our dynamic ambulatory care team. In this role, you’ll provide hands‑on patient care and essential clinical support under the direction of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider. Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in creating a smooth, safe, and caring experience for every patient. Responsibilities include:
Clinical Support & Patient Care
Assist patients and families in preparing for examinations
Support providers during exams and procedures
Gather and document patient data through interviews and observations
Enter medication, lab, and imaging orders under provider direction
Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
Communication & Coordination
Provide professional and compassionate communication to patients and family members
Process incoming and outgoing calls using sound clinical judgment
Act as a liaison for specialty referrals and diagnostic scheduling
Operational & Administrative Tasks
Collaborate with administrative and operations teams
Assist with scheduling, reception, and patient discharge when needed
Demonstrate consistent adherence to organizational policies and standards
Qualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of Medical Assistant training program
OR
one year of relevant MA experience (training available for motivated candidates)
Current
BLS Healthcare Provider
certification
Ability to obtain MA certification within 6 months of hire if required (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA/NRCAMA, or RMA accepted)
Physical & Environmental Expectations
This role involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, documentation, and lifting up to 10 lbs, with occasional heavier tasks. You will also work in close, fast‑moving clinical environments requiring strong emotional resilience and flexibility.
