Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Network & Systems Security Analyst for an on-site contract position working a 6-month contract assignment in Lutz, FL. This role will design, implement, support, and secure the enterprise network, server, and storage infrastructure. This role ensures all systems and configurations align with IT security policies and best practices while supporting ongoing infrastructure reliability and performance.
Schedule:
M-F 9a-6p, Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project and capacity requirements
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network and system issues using OSI-based troubleshooting methods
Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, VMware environments, SAN storage, and Cisco networking equipment
Support firewall management, DNS/DHCP, Active Directory, and authentication systems
Ensure infrastructure security controls are implemented and maintained in accordance with IT security standards
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation
Provide second-level support for security systems and infrastructure issues
Detect and resolve system outages and performance issues through monitoring and configuration changes
Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to support infrastructure projects
Level II (Senior Analyst) Additional Responsibilities
Lead small infrastructure projects and serve as technical lead when needed
Mentor and cross-train junior analysts
Contribute to system design and project planning activities
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree in IT-related field preferred)
6+ years of hands-on experience with Windows servers, VMware, firewalls, SAN storage, and Cisco networking
OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Active Directory, routing/switching, DNS/DHCP, and cybersecurity best practices
Certifications (Required):
Must hold at least one associate and one senior-level certification, such as:
CCNA / CCNP
MCSA / MCSE
VCP
CEH
CISSP
GIAC certifications
Preferred Certifications
CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA
Key Skills
Network and server infrastructure support
Troubleshooting and system diagnostics (OSI model)
VMware and Windows Server administration
Firewall and security controls
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
