Job Overview
Hayden Pet Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role focuses on leveraging surgical and anesthesia expertise to provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures.
This is a full‑time position with a 4/10 schedule (Monday‑Saturday) and requires availability during those weeks.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep, recovery, dental cleanings, and radiographs.
Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.
Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.
Benefits and Compensation
Compensation: $22‑26 per hour (for each hour worked)
Bonus package: $2,000
CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set
2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Current Veterinary Technician License in Idaho
Exotic animal experience is a plus
Proficiency in the following skills:
Surgical setup and assisting
Phlebotomy
Inpatient care
