The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of
Social Studies Teacher
at
Mt. Lebanon High School
beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
Experience teaching Psychology is preferred.
This is a full-time, on-site, anticipated contract (permanent) position, effective with the start of the 2026-2027 school year on August 7, 2026. Please see attached job description for a comprehensive list of qualifications, duties and responsibilities.
In order to be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold an active Instructional Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Social Studies 7-12.
Applicants with pending certifications through the PA Department of Education may be considered with a college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE-approved teacher preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations.
Please note that entry onto the salary schedule is capped at Step 4 for individuals with prior K-12 teaching experience.
