Berkshire Community College (BCC) has the distinction of being the first community college established in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Nestled in the scenic Berkshire Hills, our nearly 2,000 students have access to a wide range of career and transfer programs on our newly renovated campus. Occupying a scenic 180-acre property, just minutes from downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, BCC provides students from a broad range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds with an intimate learning environment, small class sizes, and much opportunity for interaction with faculty. Job Description:
General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
Routine and project janitorial work
Event setup and breakdown
Unlock and secure building doors
Moving/delivery of furniture, supplies, and equipment; seasonal snow removal and de-icing
Secondary duties may include:
Seasonal landscape maintenance
Minor building maintenance
Support of central services
Minor pest control
Requirements:
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Work in a team environment
Communicate with other employees, faculty, and students
Adopt and meet department standards for customer service and customer expectations
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time; lift and carry heavy objects; and climb and work on ladders and scaffolds.
