We presently have a heavy backlog of construction projects, service projects, and maintenance/service accounts. We perform work throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and are beginning to move into surrounding parts of Northeast Kansas.

Position Summary
The Commercial HVAC Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems used in commercial HVAC applications, including chilled water, hot water, steam, and refrigerant systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, and experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Install and assemble piping systems for HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and cooling towers

Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings

Cut, thread, groove, braze, solder, and weld pipe (steel, copper, PVC, etc.)

Layout and install hangers, supports, and piping systems according to code and project requirements

Perform system testing, flushing, and startup support

Troubleshoot and repair existing HVAC piping systems

Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on job sites

Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and safety standards

Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area

Qualifications

3+ years of commercial HVAC or industrial pipefitting experience (preferred)

Strong knowledge of hydronic and refrigerant piping systems

Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings

Experience with welding and/or brazing preferred

Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions

Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing

Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

OSHA 10 or 30

Welding certifications
