
Production Supervisor

Purpose and Mission
The primary goal of this position is to manage the production team to manufacture and deliver high quality products, while maintaining team engagement and driving down cost using a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Lead a production team that leads to world‑class operational performance.
Ensure effective and efficient manufacturing performance including volume, quality, and cost.
Proactively identify production capacity bottlenecks.
Execute and support projects, goals, and metrics and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Responsible for performance feedback including training and competency of team; increase technical knowledge of the team via facilitating knowledge transfer (e.g., mentorship, coaching).
Facilitate meetings and support overall company goals, strategies and objectives.
Maintain effective communications between employees and management ensuring alignment in message.
Improve plant metrics in safety, people, quality, speed and cost.
Work with other departments to ensure coordination and transition of workflow.
Ensure accuracy of time tracking system.
Have a clear understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and make decisions in accordance with CBA and company policies.
Responsible for shift output.
Resolve quality issues.
Review and update as necessary all standard operating procedures (SOP).
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills
Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate a production team to achieve goals.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to convey instructions and updates.
Problem‑Solving: Strong skills in identifying and resolving production issues efficiently.
Organizational Skills: Proficiency in planning and coordinating production schedules.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in monitoring production quality and compliance.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and tools.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce safety standards.
Previous Experience
Experience : 2 years of supervisory experience or equivalent. 5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
Qualifications and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
