Join Our Team in Scenic Montana! EMT / AEMT Opportunity at Bitterroot Health
As an EMT or AEMT at Bitterroot Health, you will respond to calls for out‑of‑hospital emergency medical services and provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care to individuals experiencing injury or illness. Care is delivered in accordance with Montana Pre‑Hospital Treatment Guidelines with access to online medical control as a resource.
This is a highly visible and respected role within our community. You will interact with patients, families, first responders, and partner agencies with professionalism, compassion, and sound clinical judgment while always prioritizing the safety and well‑being of the patient and the public.
This position is ideal for someone who remains calm under pressure, values teamwork, and is committed to excellence in emergency care.
What You’ll Do
Respond promptly and professionally to emergency calls
Provide appropriate treatment consistent with scope of practice
Assess, analyze, and interpret patient data in high‑stress situations
Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and partner agencies
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to established protocols
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensure/Certification:
Current Montana EMT or AEMT license required
Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance coverage requirement)
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to analyze and discern critical information quickly
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Sound judgment and professionalism under stress
Experience:
One year as a BLS provider preferred
