Position Overview
The Primary Therapist conducts individual and group therapy (adults, children, and adolescents) on topics such as mood, anxiety, stress and eating disorders; conducts family therapy and/or family education sessions; develops each patient’s individualized treatment plan; and works with an interdisciplinary treatment team to implement the plan. This role will be based at both Pathlight and ERC sites, floating between Bellevue and Seattle, WA.
Schedule: Set schedule of Monday‑Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct psychotherapy including individual, group and family therapy
Complete clinical paperwork for each patient: progress notes, wellness plans, and documentation of assessments
Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatment planning, including biopsychosocial, self‑harm and suicide assessments
Create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, treatment agreements, support plans or behavioral plans as needed
Attend treatment team meetings and rounds to coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
Provide training and guidance to less experienced teammates (Primary Therapist I and II)
Qualifications by Level
Primary Therapist I
Graduate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field (required)
Fully licensed with appropriate state licensing board or in an associate/intern phase of licensure, or meeting state requirements to practice individual therapy (required)
Collaborative nature and strong communication within a multi‑disciplinary team (required)
Primary Therapist II
Graduate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field (required)
Has obtained and maintains an independent mental health license as required by state (required)
Has carried significant individual and/or family caseload for at least 2 years with documented success in treating patients with common diagnoses and expected comorbidities; demonstrates ability to work independently; develops specialty within line of service and broadens expertise with other populations (required)
Primary Therapist III
Graduate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field (required)
Has obtained and maintains a full mental health license as required by state (required)
At least 3 years post‑licensure experience working with mood, anxiety, eating disorder and/or trauma‑related disorders; some experience supervising other clinicians; has carried a significant individual and/or family caseload, with success in treating more complex cases (required)
Experience with individual and/or family therapy (required)
Compensation
Washington pay range: $80,000 – $125,000 USD. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and market expectations.
