Responsibilities & Qualifications
As an optical laboratory Technician, you will handle all optical laboratory duties and support end‑to‑end eyewear production. The role requires a proven track record and strong technical and communication skills.
Over five years of experience managing a high‑volume optical laboratory and a comprehensive background in end‑to‑end eyewear production.
Perform all aspects of lab functionality, including lens finishing, digital tracing, and rigorous QA inspections to ensure every pair of eyewear meets ANSI specifications.
Manage complex eyewear assembly and coordinate lens turnaround times to significantly reduce late jobs.
Lead staff training, equipment maintenance, and integrate lab management software to streamline workflows.
Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost savings, making actionable recommendations to management regarding new technologies.
Provide professional communication and customer service, explaining technical terms to customers and non‑licensed team members.
Maintain exceptional interpersonal skills, serve as an energetic, positive team player, adapt in a fast‑paced environment, and be organized, attentive, and detail‑oriented.
