Northwest Specialty Hospital

is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused Medical Records Coordinator I to join our Northwest Family Medicine St. Maries Clinic!

The Medical Records Coordinator I supports the clinic Medical Records function and is responsible for ensuring that all clerical duties are accurately performed in completion of, but not limited to, the following areas: pull medical records for other departments and/or individuals as requested; electronically file medical records; prepare copies of medical record as requested; scans medical records, ensures that all requests for copies of medical records are authorized and approved for issuance; review the medical record for completeness; facilitate obtaining necessary signatures from physicians and practitioners to complete the medical record; file correspondence and other documents in medical records accurately; assist in mailing correspondence from the business office. This position will also work closely with other departments as needed, to ensure the patient’s chart and information is complete to receive treatment. Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and the Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate. This position will require excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Works under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience

Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to relate and work effectively with others.

Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own growth and advancements.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English.

Demonstrated computer skills in utilizing Microsoft Office, integrated database, and other functions.

Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

Two years clerical experience required.
