Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000, commensurate with years of experience.

Responsibilities
Assist in surgery, endo vein harvesting, in‑patient rounding, and outpatient clinic
Share call coverage, one in three calls
Work rotating shifts with 24/7 service coverage, including night shifts and weekends
Assist with surgical procedures in cardiovascular and thoracic cases
Provide outpatient ambulatory visits and hospital rounding
Assess new consults in the clinic and hospital admissions
Assist with vein harvesting; CABG and valve surgeries
Perform comprehensive history and physical exams
Diagnose and treat conditions, providing follow‑up care as needed
Assist in surgeries, including first and second assisting roles
Manage inpatient care, preoperative, and postoperative evaluations
Perform invasive procedures (training provided), including central vascular access, Swan‑Ganz insertion, chest tube insertion, and endoscopic vessel harvesting
Collaborate positively with multidisciplinary care team, patients, and families, demonstrating emotional intelligence in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment
Requirements
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Active Louisiana PA license or eligibility to be licensed
Minimum 5 years of cardiac surgical experience; hospital and ambulatory experience preferred
Experience with robotic surgery preferred, but training will be provided if needed
