Network and Cybersecurity Architect
for a
Contract
with a client in
Albany, NY.
This role requires deep expertise in enterprise/industrial networking and cybersecurity architecture to guide technology selection, integrate security controls, and ensure performance, availability, and regulatory alignment.
Rate Range:
$75/hour to $85/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Network and Cybersecurity Architect Job Responsibilities include:
Develop, document, and maintain currentstate and futurestate network and cybersecurity architectures, standards, and roadmaps for ITS, OT, and enterprise environments.
Design and recommend resilient network solutions including routing, segmentation, WAN connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access.
Lead and support cybersecurity engineering initiatives such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, NAC, vulnerability assessments, and secure architecture reviews.
Evaluate emerging networking and security technologies, conduct proofs of concept, and provide technical guidance for implementation and integration.
Analyze network performance and security posture to recommend improvements in reliability, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with security leadership, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure architectural designs align with operational, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Extensive handson experience in network and cybersecurity architecture, engineering, and design within enterprise or industrial environments.
Strong expertise in enterprise and industrial networking, including routing and segmentation (OSPF, BGP), firewall and VPN design, and highavailability architectures.
Proven experience designing and integrating cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, NAC, vulnerability management, and secure access solutions in critical infrastructure or OT environments.

Pay Details:
$75.00 to $85.00 per hour
