Description & Requirements

A Mulesoft Engineer with SAP expertise designs and implements API-led connectivity solutions, integrating complex SAP ERP systems (ECC/S/4HANA) with cloud/on-premise applications using the Anypoint Platform. They define technical architecture, establish integration best practices (DataWeave, RAML), and ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance, real-time data exchange.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

SAP Integration Strategy:

Design, develop, and implement end-to-end integration workflows connecting SAP (ECC/S/4HANA) with systems like Salesforce, AWS, or Azure using MuleSoft SAP Connectors.
API-Led Architecture:

Create and govern API-led connectivity frameworks (System, Process, and Experience APIs) for scalable, reusable integration solutions.
Technical Leadership:

Lead technical design reviews, set best practices for MuleSoft development, and mentor developers.
Data Transformation:

Utilize DataWeave to manage complex data mapping and transformations between SAP IDocs/BAPIs and JSON/XML formats.
Security & Governance:

Implement robust security, monitoring, error handling, and logging for integration interfaces.
Solution Design:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications for API development.
REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience:

5+ years of experience in integration, with at least 3+ years specifically in MuleSoft and SAP.
MuleSoft Expertise:

Deep knowledge of Anypoint Platform, Mule ESB, RAML, and DataWeave.
SAP Knowledge:

Strong proficiency in SAP integration technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, SAP Java Connector).
Certifications:

MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect or Integration Architect (required or highly preferred).
Technical Skills:

Experience with Java, SOAP/REST APIs, database technologies (SQL), and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Maven, Azure DevOps).
Typical Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of architectural frameworks like TOGAF
