Job Description
Responsible for preparing, validating and analyzing financial information; preparing journal entries; maintaining fixed asset records; reconciling fixed asset and other general ledger account balances on a monthly basis; work closely with other departments to assist with fixed asset and other financial issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare fixed asset account reconciliations, investigating and clearing any reconciling items.
Review fixed asset project and purchase requests for proper accounting treatment and compliance with System's capital policy.
Work closely with departments in recognizing asset retirements in a timely manner.
Provide support for internal and external audits.
Assist in footnote preparation for quarterly/annual financial statements.
Perform other responsibilities or assignments as required.
Required Skills
3 to 5 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Financial analysis.
Preparing journal entries.
Fixed asset accounting.
Account reconciliation.
Internal audits.
Additional Skills
External audits.
Footnote preparation.
Accounting compliance.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 to 5 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Education
Master’s Degree.
