Roll Up-Spray Bar Operator - 3rd Shift

What we need
Mohawk is looking for a Roll Up Operator in the Dalton, Ga area. You will operate the roll up machine to roll carpet to appropriate lengths per orders.
What you’ll do
Ensure carpet is cut at proper length, rolled up, and removed from machine properly
Data input and retrieve in AS400 system
Make sure all defects are cut out and removed
Ensure rolls are properly rolled up even, and not funneled in roll up
Change out full rolls of tape-on-tape dispensers
Change cut blades on tape dispensers when needed
Attach ticket to each roll after being rolled up
Help in wrapping rolls for shipment as needed
Assist in keeping work areas in a clean orderly mannerAttend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management
What you have
High school diploma or GED preferred
No prior experience required
What you’re good at
Problem solving ability is required
Interpersonal skills, manual dexterity, mechanical skills, math skills and judgement skills
Pays attention to details
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
Must be able to motivate and work well with others
What else
Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and balance
Frequently required to look at the carpet for cutting roll size- can me removed
Must be able to lift up to 4 pounds continuously throughout an 8-12 hour shift
Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled
Match roll size with size on each ticket to ensure correct ticket is put on correct roll
Band waste material at end of each shift
Band scrap cores at end of each shift
Assist in end of shift clean up
