Barings Technology Business Management team is seeking a Technical Business Analyst (TBA) for the Corporate Technology and Innovation functions. The TBA will play a crucial role in driving scale and delivering innovative solutions that enhance Barings' operational practices and capabilities. In partnership with Barings business and technology teams, the TBA will be responsible for managing the relationship between the Global Technology and Data (GTD) organization and the aligned business units. This position provides the candidate with the opportunity to work collaboratively across many different corporate functions within Baring Investment teams, such as Finance, Legal & Compliance, HR, and Enterprise Risk. The TBA reports to a Technical Business Manager (TBM) and will coordinate with the TBM to create multi-year technology roadmaps across the aligned business units.
Primary Responsibilities
As the Technical Business Analyst covering a variety of stakeholders in corporate functions, the candidate will be responsible for
Deliver innovative technology solutions and services that enable scale and reduce risk
Develop deep relationships across Barings' business and technology teams to identify opportunities to improve business practices and capabilities
Maintain strong communication and partnership with technology vendors to ensure that Barings business teams are leveraging the latest features and capabilities
In partnership with other leaders, co-manage the Aladdin/eFront platform and other major platforms being utilized
Provide high-level requirements on critical business demands to enhance platforms and internally built applications
Qualifications
5+ years of business analysis or project management experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry
Must work extremely well within a team-based environment while also being independent and self-motivated
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external resources
Proven problem solver who can work independently and think out-the-box to meet objectives
Demonstrate an understanding of Barings' overall business, develop product knowledge across Barings' investment capabilities, and possess the ability to articulate and communicate effectively
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with ability to multitask effectively
