We are seeking a highly skilled
Mainframe Developer with strong experience in FIS/OMNI systems
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in mainframe technologies and a solid background working with FIS/OMNI platforms to support, enhance, and modernize critical financial applications.
This role involves working closely with business and technology teams to analyze requirements, develop solutions, and ensure the stability and performance of enterprise-level systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and implement solutions using
Mainframe technologies
(COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, etc.).
Work extensively with
FIS/OMNI systems
for enhancements, integrations, and support activities.
Collaborate with business analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimization.
Provide production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure timely resolution.
Contribute to system modernization initiatives, migration projects, and integration with third-party platforms.
Ensure solutions comply with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience
with Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM).
Strong, proven experience with FIS/OMNI
systems (mandatory).
Solid understanding of financial services, retirement systems, or banking domain.
Experience in analyzing, debugging, and enhancing large-scale legacy systems.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to modernization tools or mainframe-to-cloud migration projects.
Familiarity with DevOps pipelines in a mainframe environment (Endevor, Changeman, etc.).
Experience working in Agile or hybrid SDLC models.
