Required Education Level : Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or technical related field

Required Experience (Years): 5 years

Substitution Criteria: 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

Strong candidates for this position will have experience with DCPTools, CoreEventManager, and Bedrock.

Description:

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Clinical Solution Advisor (SA).
• Provide technical expertise using Oracle Health configuration tools (e.g., DCPTools, CoreEventManager, Bedrock) to manage clinical solutions.
• Use EHR expertise to support knowledge transfers.
• Work independently on design/development of new software products or enhancements to existing software for healthcare or clinical environment.
• Manage, escalate, and resolve tickets and change requests using ServiceNow with understanding of Oracle Health Model recommendations.
• Manage functional validation and end-user testing for EHR and integrated third party solutions; assist other EHRM testing events as needed.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, written/oral communications, analysis, data gathering, and organization skills.
• Facilitate collaboration between EHRM stakeholders (e.g., VHA Council Management Team, VHA Requirements Development and Management (RDM), EHRM-IO pillars and teams, Oracle Health, local site end-users).
• Work collaboratively with solution teams (e.g., solution experts, VHA Tier 1 experts, solution management administrators, project managers) to monitor requirements, work products/deliverables, actions/taskers, and solution-related projects and tickets to ensure deadlines are met and risks/issues are escalated and mitigated per the approved process.

Minimum qualifications:

5+ years of professional work experience

Works independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for a healthcare/clinical environment.

Acts as highest level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics and multiple platforms.

Responsible for project completion.

Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or technical related field, or an additional 10 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements

Preferred qualifications:

VA experience preferred

Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
