Under the supervision of the Program Director, the program assistant will work closely with staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment, assist with snack distribution, data entry and collection, and conduct family outreach.****Primary responsibilities:***** Assist the Program Director with day-to-day activities and ensure participants are supervised adequately* Will be trained on DYCD Connect system, EZReports to ensure program data is collected and entered on time* Foster positive relationships with students and actively engage them to support their development* Participate in professional development and show dedication to youth development for under-resourced communities* Accompany teaching artists on field trips with participants* Work with program staff to provide a safe environment for all students* Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring and guidance* Participate in the student registration process to completion; maintain complete folders on students (enrollment forms, field trip consent forms, etc.)* Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible* Other duties as assigned****Qualifications:***** No experience necessary* Current college students or higher* Strong interest in youth development* Excellent interpersonal skills**Schedule:*** 19 hours per week (Monday - Friday: 2pm-6pm)****Employment dat**e:** Immediately ****Location**:** Brooklyn, NY****About BCCP**:**The Brooklyn College Community Partnership (BCCP) is a youth development program that connects Brooklyn College to Brooklyn neighborhoods through a comprehensive range of after-school and extracurricular initiatives in under-resourced public schools and at our Brooklyn College Arts Lab (BCAL). These functions include legal assessment and signing of agreements where RFCUNY is named as a fiscal agent; setting up award accounts; preparing sub-awards and assisting PIs in monitoring the work of the recipients of sub-awards; supporting project directors with hiring and managing research project and sponsored program staff; supporting the purchasing and paying for goods and services with grant and program funds; managing financial aspects of projects including accounts receivable, financial reporting, invoicing, budget monitoring, and cost compliance with uniform guidance; ensuring that sponsor financial requirements are met; monitoring compliance with applicable project and financial management rules and laws; supporting the management of independent and external audits and financial reviews; and providing data, information, management expertise, and other supports to CUNY’s research and sponsored programs.
