Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, optimize, and test mechanical components, systems, and machinery for both commercial and specialized applications. This role involves working across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to post-launch support, within a multidisciplinary team that integrates mechanical, electrical, and fluid subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and test mechanical products through development and validation phases.

Collaborate with R&D, product development engineers, and manufacturing teams.

Manage resource allocation and ensure smooth project progression.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training.

Prepare technical reports to update stakeholders and customers.

Optimize product designs to reduce costs and achieve business objectives.

Analyze test data, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain quality standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve product issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Oversee prototype manufacturing and transition designs to larger-scale production.

Integrate manufacturability considerations into designs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proven hands‑on experience in developing electromechanical products, particularly in portable systems.

3+ years of experience managing technical product development and handling multiple projects.

Experience designing electronic enclosures that require active cooling and operate in various environmental conditions.

Successful application of engineering processes and principles.

Familiarity with CAD tools in a product development or manufacturing environment.

Experience working with suppliers and negotiating parts pricing.

Experience with machined, metal‑formed, and plastic components.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software like SolidWorks.

Familiarity with Lean, DFMA, Six Sigma, and FMEA processes.

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing demands.

Strong decision‑making skills, even with limited data, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

A hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement of products.

Effective communicator with engineers, technicians, and management teams.

Team‑oriented, collaborative, and able to motivate others to achieve common goals.
