Position Description
Jess Howard Electric Company is seeking a Project Manager who not only delivers projects but develops people and strengthens teams. This role is critical to our continued growth and requires a leader who will embrace our processes, collaborate effectively, and drive consistency across projects.
You will serve as the key liaison between our company, clients, and field teams, managing large-scale commercial electrical projects ranging from $2M to $30M. Success in this role means aligning with our systems, building trust with your team, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
Manage all materials, equipment, and resources prior to and throughout each project
Lead pre‑construction “download” meetings and align field teams on execution plans
Communicate project scope, expectations, and updates clearly to job superintendents and crews
Oversee submittals, procurement, and delivery of materials to job sites
Coordinate vendor purchase orders and ensure field teams have necessary resources
Create and manage RFIs, ensuring transparency and communication across teams
Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
Track labor and material usage against estimates; communicate variances proactively
Enforce all safety protocols, company policies, and compliance requirements
Maintain project schedules, milestones, and budgets
Approve monthly billings and support financial oversight of projects
Participate in all project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Build strong relationships with owners, general contractors, and trade partners
Mentor and develop foremen, apprentices, and laborers to support career growth
Foster a positive, team‑oriented work environment across all job sites
Partner with estimators to refine processes and improve project outcomes
Ensure successful project completion with a high level of client satisfaction
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Proven experience managing commercial construction projects ($2M–$30M)
Strong knowledge of the electrical industry and National Electrical Code (NEC)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop people, and drive accountability
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organization

Salary Range: $90–120k, based on experience
