Job Summary
The licensed registered nurse is responsible for providing evidence‑based clinical care to designated patients, utilizing the nursing process and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established ethical, cultural, and professional standards.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors, and employees.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensed to practice in the state of employment and possess a Compact (multi‑state) License, if applicable.
Meet contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state‑required courses.
Have education and training that promotes competence in the assigned clinical area.
Demonstrated knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies, and competency in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
Independent competency in performing safe nursing skills and procedures.
Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
Ability to critically think and problem‑solve in routine and emergency situations.
