2026 Summer CTEP Teaching Programs
Position Details
Location: Pine River Institute, River Road, Shelburne, ON
Salary: $64.22 per hour
Effective Dates: July 6, 2026 – August 14, 2026
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Vacancy Status: Existing vacancy
Federation Affiliation: Ontario Secondary School teachers' Federation, District 18 Teachers' Bargaining Unit (union dues apply)
Responsibilities
Deliver an integrated education and treatment program for students in residential or day‑treatment care facilities.
Collaborate with facility staff and Child and Youth Workers to support individualized academic and treatment goals.
Teach Intermediate/Senior Math, English, Science, Social Sciences, and provide daily Physical Education for all classes.
Ensure compliance with program and provincial standards.
Adjust instruction to remote delivery if directed by the Ministry of Education or the Water and Health Unit.
Requirements
Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
Special Education Part 1 (specialist preferred).
Experience working with at‑risk students with complex needs in multi‑disciplinary environments.
Appropriate subject qualifications as listed above.
