This position provides customer service for in-store, email, and phone ParkerStore customers. M-F 7:30am – 5pm; Full-time hourly position.

Maintain the Retail Business Unit Quality Standards: Safety, Responsiveness, Knowledgeable, Accuracy, and Engaging, across all ParkerStores at all times.

Maintain personal relationships with existing store customers and develop relationships with new customers.

Identify and fulfill customer product and/or service requirements.

Fabricate hydraulic, industrial and pneumatic hose assemblies to fulfill customer needs.

Safely operate saws, crimpers and other power tools needed.

Coordinate pick‑up transactions at the counter, including locating and pulling orders as required.

Perform computer data entry related to all areas of ParkerStore operations.

Perform accurate cycle counts, order products, transfer product to other locations, receive and stock shelves with inventory.

Work with the store manager to maintain a professional store showroom appearance, assist in creating new displays and implementing related marketing programs.

Perform daily/weekly cleaning of store and bathrooms.

Along with the manager, be responsible for opening and closing the store.

May serve as on‑call for after‑hours customer emergencies.

Drive to deliver and pick up materials as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma (or equivalent)

Two to three years of related work experience preferred.

Must have excellent interpersonal and telephone skills.

Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, effectively and professionally with customers, vendors and other Triad employees.

Read and follow written work instructions.

Possess strong mathematical skills--add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Utilize tools such as tape measures, micrometers.

Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Excellent attention to detail.

Must be able to handle products (inventory) up to 50 pounds.

Must be willing to work overtime.

Must be willing to support after‑hour emergency calls during nights and weekends, as necessary.

Possess accurate keyboarding skills (for data entry). To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Microsoft Office and Outlook knowledge. Knowledge of Prophet21 software and other vendor computer systems are preferred.

Individuals must be willing to take a Mechanical Aptitude test.
